The fear and greed index is one tool to help track market sentiment. It is best to use a number of tools when analysing market sentiment and find areas of correlation for the best conclusions.

Unsurprisingly there is currently extreme fear in the market but whether or not it is extreme enough is down to each individual. For me, it needs to be lower to present the strongest buying opportunities. The F&G has been hovering in the mid to low 20s since mid September representing a period of market acclimatisation to the current prices and conditions.
